Where do schools find the time for BECOME?

BECOME is a teacher-led program available from Years 5 - 10 but the curriculum is so crowded, where does it fit best?

BECOME is flexible by design. Our team work with you to co-design the scope and sequence which will work for you, the team you have and the time you have. Here are some common ways schools find the time:

Wellbeing/personal development time is often used, particularly in secondary schools as BECOME supports students' development as a whole person, the shaping of their identity and how they see themselves in the world. It has proven, positive wellbeing outcomes and students love it because it's all about them!

Curriculum Areas. As our lessons are aligned to the Australian and New Zealand Curriculum, secondary schools can also use subject lessons to deliver BECOME such as English, PDHP / Health (and even art!), sharing its delivery across a range of curriculum areas.

In Primary. Primary schools have more flexibility and often use time that supports integrated studies, PDHP and Literacy, given our strong links with the Australian Curriculum.

In faith-based schools. BECOME has also been delivered in Religious Education classes as our lessons support students' holistic development.
