Yes. The BECOME program is based on evidence and includes several tools. We explore evidence and tools together at the PL and Planning day so that specialist and generalists alike can deliver the program effectively.
BECOME provides professional learning and planning for those involved in rolling out the program. There is a cost associated with training, which is determined by the circumstances in which the school is implementing BECOME.
The PL and Planning Day gives teachers who may not be careers education specialists the opportunity to understand why we advocate for a whole school approach, and what contemporary careers education can be at different ages of schooling.
At the training, teachers get hands-on with the student web app, BECOME.ME and the Teacher Resource Centre, as well as having time to explore existing lesson scope and sequences and modify them with BECOME advice to perfectly suit their students and context. Specialists and generalists get an overview of the evidence base under the tools so that they can best use them.
